What is love?
“I can’t imagine life without him”, would be my answer.
How many laughters and tears does it take to lead to “Will you marry me?”.
How does it feel waking up to that cute sleepy face that melts your heart every morning?
To accept whatever he/she is, that is love.
Nobody said love is an easy thing,
jealousness, despair, lost in faith, miscommunication, and many more always comes along the way.
But when you overcome those while still holding hands, that is what made it all worthwhile.
Love, is in fact a beautiful thing. Only if, you found the right one.
On, July 20th 2014, I witnessed the best wedding I’ve ever been to.
It was the wedding of my most favorite person in the world, my brother.
Read the link below to understand more about our relationship.

It was a beautiful day in Bali, Uluwatu.
In case all of you didn’t know, Bali happens to be one of the most popular destination for dream weddings.
The groom: Anton Soeharyo
The bride: Minako Yamasaki
They have been in a relationship for 8 years, with 4 years being long-distanced.
Seeing them tying the knot after all these years is just…WOW.
This is where the guests signed their names in the guestbook.
The huge signboard filled with congratulation messages from the guests.
The chapel just few minutes before the wedding.
The bride getting ready.
Le wedding ring.
By the ocean view.
Damn it. I need a groom. WHO WANNA MARRY ME?!
That is my cousin! And also the CTO of Touchten games.
And… me being all shy because the bride is too beautiful…
And you can see my daddy stuffing a chinese red pocket into my brother’s pocket. :p
A Chinese red pocket is a monetary gift given during special occasions, such as weddings, the birth of a baby, graduation(depends on the family tradition), or the most common one is during the Chinese lunar new year.
Then, the ceremony begins.
The groom making his way step by step into the chapel, with the flower boy, my cutie shun-chan. ♡
My favorite flower girl, ai-chan. ♡
Here comes the bride.
The bride’s father handing his daughter to the groom.
健やかなるときも、病めるときも、喜びのときも、悲しみのときも、富めるときも、貧しいときも、これを愛し、これを敬い、これを慰め、これを助け、その命ある限り、真心を尽くすことを誓いますか?
“For richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; and I promise to be faithful to you until death parts us.”
“It is at this time that I now pronounce you husband and wife.”
Love is the master key which opens the gates of happiness.
-Oliver Wendell Holmes.
Aww…
Me with the bride and groom!

Then after all the family photo shoots, we had a very exciting event.
As the sun was setting, it was time for the bouquet toss!
To make it even more fun, Beyonce’s single ladies was played in the background music.
Really appreciated the efforts by the wedding organizer thou. LOL
Guess who caught the bouquet Episode. 1 #Allthatdrama
Miss A: Hmm. Catch it, catch it not. Catch it, catch it not, catch it…….
Miss B: *soprano voice* You raise me up~~~~So I can catch the flo~~wers~~~♪
Miss C: Come to mama come to mama come to mama
Mr. D: OH YEA OH YEA. I GOT THIS. HELL YEA. JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE BABY.
Mr. E. Oooooh. Flowers. It’s flying. No, is that a starship?
Guess who caught the bouquet?
Guess who caught the bouquet Episode. 2 #Allthatdrama
Miss A: WHAT!?
Miss B: Noway….I was the one who just got engaged and this bitch took all my glory…….
Miss C: I should instagram this.#hashtag ##guesswhocaughtthebouquet #it’shachi #instaBali #niceweather #ilovebali
Mr. D: GODDAMNIT! YOU STOLE MY FLOWER! (Donghyun Oppa, please don’t punch me…..)
Mr. E: Aw.. The starship is gone… My baby sister is getting married soon… (He’s my 2nd elder brother btw)
Pun intended.
And everybody started to congratulate me.
Then I begin to feel the pressure with, “You’re next Hachi!”by all my relatives and family members.
As the event ended, it was time for the bride to change into her night outfit.
And, it was teatime for the guests too.
We were served by really yummy finger foods which unfortunately, I didn’t managed to get a snap of it.
You can never deal with a hungry tummy.
While in the meantime, I was making good use of the remaining sunlight before it sets!
SELFIE TIME!
My first successful selfie before all the photo-bombing. -_-
with the famous reporter in Korea, Kim Dong Hyun Oppa!!!! Turn on the news in the korean channel and you’ll see him. #Truestory.
My 2nd elder bro’s beautiful girlfriend, Anna. Love her to bits! Always there for me when i’m in my worst state.
#ignorethephotobomb
“Come on, you girls are too serious. Lets make funny faces”, said le brotha
Photo-bombed, AGAIN.
Someone was teasing me when I took this selfie.
Note: You can never take a selfie peacefully in a wedding.
My handsome brotha who wanted to act cool at first.
Then he decided to go to the not-so-handsome-mode and I bluntly took by the step.
Le sister who got frightened….
Bro…Chill bro, chill………
Time passes quickly when you’re having fun!
It soon reached an evening.
The beautiful little garden is lit up.
Before the dinner started, there was a traditional Bali dance performance.
And during this performance, while people were enjoying it, I was so nervous.
Holding my script, reading it all over and over again, making sure my tongue doesn’t get tied, taking deep breaths , and practicing the zillionth time with my partner.
And the reason is…………
I was the Master of the Ceremony of the night.
I swear both of us were so freaking nervous.
I was in charge of Chinese and Indonesian, while my partner was in charge of Japanese.
Before the dinner starts, there was a slideshow of the pictures of the bride and groom. From how they met, till how they took the decision to spend the rest of their lives together.
Followed by speech from the good friends of theirs.
“We’re married!”
Speech by the bride’s father.
The stunning bride. Drop-dead beautiful.
I used to think that I don’t resemble any of my brothers but looking at this, I think our smiles look alike?
As the night came, it was the end of the wedding.
It was definitely a tiring one for me, because I was always on the go as I was the MC.
I cried alot, laughed alot, and even drank alot during the small after-party by ourselves. :p
It was a splendid wedding!
Then on July 25th,
our family held the 2nd wedding banquet in Jakarta.
This was for those who could not make it to Bali.
And again, I was the MC of the wedding. This time, in Japanese. I was even more nervous.
That dress was SUFFOCATING ME!
Me with Anna, my 2nd brother’s sweetheart, and my aunts.
The minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia even came to the wedding. Thanks for coming Ibu Mari!
